I agree with the posters below. This shot could sell given the right venue. I can honestly say I've never seen a photo quite like it. It's an excellent representation of the heat firefighters endure. Those waves are intense!

On a technical standpoint I think the photo could use a little cropping. As it is right now the left shingles in the frame compete for my attention. I'd take a 640 crop from the lower right. That takes some off the top and some off the left. You lose that lick of fire coming in from the top which I really like, but I think it improves the photo as a whole.

Hindsight: Actually the more I flip between my trial edit and yours I don't know which I like better! It's a great photo either way.

Wow, this is a great shot.... I like it better than your ribbon winner... You should print, frame and give to the firestation. Just an amazing shot.
