Long time overdue in commenting; (Hello Neighbor...your entry is right above mine). The idea and execution in this composition is minimalistic and very well done. Color choice was great. The red really pops (sorry for using that term as we are talking balloons here:-) ) off the black backdrop. Love how you also composed the balloon to come out at the diagonal for it adds visual interest. And wonderful idea to have the flame jet coming out such that it makes you think of the big hot air balloons; the small, simple object can project the idea of the larger, complex object. Great job!

This is an interesting take on bokeh where we see it through the subject, not just behind or filling the frame. Creative. The multi-colored affect is great. The clarity of the drops towards the left of center is spot-on but you lose focus in the middle/right of middle. The red portion of the leaf is a little too murky considering that is the largest area of color in the photo. Maybe you could have cropped some of the right portion of the photo to make it a stronger overall look.

oh .. just came back to have another look and noticed all the 'roz' comments ..
its funny ppl thought this was mine, coz i've never succeeded in catching one of these little guys flying .. when they've jumped when the flash fired the pic i'd get would show some legs hanging down at the top of the image .. nothing ever like this .. only ever got bees flying and not that great either .. :)
