Monarch on Egyptian Starclusterby bobnospumComment by kichu: Agreed with Jonathan, that 2 is wild. Yes the background maybe should be be a little blurrier to fit a more rigid interpretation of bokeh, but it's far from not meeting the criteria and it's a stunning shot. I was one of your 8's, this was one of my favourites. I would love to hear the 2 voters thoughts! I guess you just have to take things with a grain of salt on dpc sometimes. |

Monarch on Egyptian Starclusterby bobnospumComment by bobnospum: Originally posted by kanaj: This one wowed me with its precision and realistically vivid color palette. I'm far from an authority on what constitutes "textbook bokeh," but I'm completely confounded by the rogue 2 on this one. |
Thanks for the comment. I agree that a 2 seems a bit low for a competently shot photo that meets the challenge, but that is DPC. I am happy enough with overall score and placing as the Bokeh is more supportive to this image as opposed to some of the higher ranked photos, where it is more central to the photo. And I knew that prior to submission. Thanks again. Message edited by author 2026-03-11 07:48:06. |
