There is a yellowish spot, which could be a bug or something else, which feels out of place. If just the zebra print was in the picture this would be better.

very nicely observed. the balance of patterns, lines, tones all work to keep this interesting. i also like the juxtaposition of the soft clouds with the strong buildings. strong work here!

Hi,

I didn’t vote this Challenge so I have not seen so many shots. Therefore it’s more difficult to say why this image scored lower then I would expect.
Your score is not to bad, but in my eyes its worth more then a 5.3
However I can say a thing or 2 about the image that maybe will give you an idea what could be improved.
I think your composition is good, the scissors look nice and the chosen dof is ok but as mentioned in one of the comments the back of the photo is a bit distracting, there’s not much going on more then a red hole in the photo.
Not that I really mind that, I still like the compo, but maybe that was one of the things why people voted lower.
You could try a different crop and see if it helps.

All in all I think this is a good Photo that meets the Challenge well.
