That is exactly what I was going to say. Looks like you are getting to the point where you can critique your own work rather well. Very nice. |

Just hang\'n out after-sepia-tweaked.jpgby wehrmacherComment by love: Hmmmm I like the sepia but think it might be cool to ad some grain or some scratches given that the focus is soft and the sharpening not as effective as it should (dare I say it) be.. do you have any others from this shoot that are sharper?? |

Just hang\'n out after-sepia-tweaked.jpgby wehrmacherComment by Jaker: It does make the boys appear a bit sharper, as well as the bricks and concrete. The last version is STILL my favorite! :-) I've looked at it several times now and decided the slightly out of focus boys don't bother me. It just gives the photo a different feel that we don't often see here in super sharpened DPC land.

Edited to add:
Sometimes "different" can be good, and sometimes "different" can be bad. Other times it's just plain "different." If the whole picture had been out of focus, I would have thought either bad or different for the sake of being different. But since the bricks and reflections were so sharp, I've decided that it's good different! :-) Just my opinion of course! lol Message edited by author 2008-06-07 09:32:13. |

Just hang\'n out after-sepia.jpgby wehrmacherComment by Jaker: This is my favorite of the three as well! I think it would have made a nice entry for Partners! Like the other commenters, the camera DID focus on the background rather than the boys, which is the only drawback for DPC. Still, I kind of like it personally. Candid shots are tough that way. I've got scads of them from the May side challenge that are juuusssttt slightly out of focus, but looked perfect on my LCD. :-{ |
