 Here is a picture of an Iris I took while my wife was shopping for flowers. I got mine, and it didn't cost a cent. ;-)

I guess this could have used a little more DOF to keep the front petal in focus.

At f3.5 you should have reasonable DoF, you may just of missed getting the iris completely within the field of focus!

Yummy- those Siberian Iris's have the richest most vibrant blue/purple that I have ever seen ! Lovely :) ( thanx for the compliment on my portfolio too !)
