Just a suggestion: You were focusing on the reflections in the eye. If you try again, don't get distracted and attrackted by them. Try to focus a level behind the reflections on the miniature structure IN the eye. If you look closely the bluesih structures are soft. I tried it and failed 99% of the time doing the same thing you did. But the one time you get it right, is spectacular. |

I am so impressed with the images I have seen taken with that 100mm f/2.8 macro lens that I think it is at the top of my wish list now. The blue patch is interesting. That must be the color of her eyes when seen under normal circumstances. It looks like you may have desaturated the reds quite a bit. |
