I find that the foreground blur works well here, although there is a portion in the lower left that looks a little sharper, which spoils the effect a little bit.

For me the DOF is a little too shallow. I'd like to see a more detail. I like the subject and the color. I think the fact that there is not a primary item for the focal point is what makes me want to see more of the entire image.

That's cool, looks like shards of brown glass (actually I guess eating these would have a similar effect no doubt :))
