hmm, not so much peas in a pod anymore so much as baby aliens in gestating sacs :) Something that might have added an extra oomph would have been to pull back on the backlighting a little, to allow you to add a touch of light from the front, which would have given somewhat of an xray effect, rendering the pods not just translucent, but transparent. In terms of being an abstract, graphic image, I like this a lot, though perhaps the bottom right pod is a little too dark

I'm not sure if the flower is dying or if thats from the flame but the less than perfect look rarely work with flowers. nice concept though.

Nice clarity on the dahlia, but I really am not getting it. Why is the flower not on fire? Why such a tight and tilted crop? It could almost look like a lotus if it were shot straight on with more room around the subject.
