Simple Mechanicalby banmornComment by Bear_Music: Dramatic as hell. Might work better if the subject were up and left 10% each, so the key diagonal line fell parallele to but slightly above the corner-to-corner diagonal. I wish the lighting gave me a hair of separation from shadowed area of object to pure black background. Just a hair, not much... |

Streams of Colorby banmornComment by graphicfunk: from the critique club.
This is a very strong entry with good composition, great movement and lovely colors. It has all the ingredients of a ribbon image. The diagonal sweep with those vibrant colors is certainly an impressive sight to behold. While 5.9421 places it above the average, this image should have placed much higher.
The voters take many challenges too literal. That is when they specify wind they want to see something driven by the wind and this image is very much and safely within the definition as opposed to those that use wind indirectly such as wind instrument or simply wind created by fans etc. Again: here is an image that meets the challenge head on with lovely wind motion and a great visual, why did it not break the 6 mark?
I have no answer except to give you credit for this very unique entry and more ideas will sprout from your fertile mind that will eventually net you a ribbon. Keep batting away and do stay this creative, paydirt will come. Message edited by author 2004-12-27 20:31:31. |
