Go With the Wind by ImagineerComment by blindjustice: fantastic composition and drama. Perfect placement of sail and jetty- and the eye is led nicely up to the blue part of the sky, creatinga feeling that the sailboat is moveing away towards the left of the shot. well done. |

Pride of London [cam orig]by ImagineerComment by a8j2: very nice,
i really wanted to see the original shot, cause i thought that too much photoshop was used to edit the picture, but i was wrong, it's is clear as the original with some color editing.
i really loved them both..

Pride of London by ImagineerComment by Mitonski: I've just been on my works Christmas party and it was a boat trip down the Thames... I was out on deck taking some photos and I was waiting to see this exact shot go by! You did an awsome job, the long exposure's had a great effect on the water, and the colours are fantastic. Great job (clearly!) |

Pride of London [cam orig]by ImagineerComment by blindjustice: I like them both- very nice compostion- the lights give a great feel.
I feel teh one you picked for the challenge is better. THe crop makes the scene feel less cluttered and pushed into the corner. trust your instincts. you are the master. |

Pride of London by ImagineerComment by e301: ... and lurking in the haze just to the right of the Cathedral, is the vague outline of one of the towers of the Barbican Centre: so make that three iconic bits of british architecture. That last, of course, doesn't get quite the plaudits of the others. |

Pride of London by ImagineerComment by okeefe: Beautiful photo. St Paul's is quite beautiful. I never realized that English Commuter Rail Stations looked so much like American Commuter Rail Stations. I had heard however, Churchill's actual comment was "Mrs Paul's must be shaved." |

Pride of London by ImagineerComment by Artifacts: Well deserved blue ribbon for technically superior post processing. Of course, you have to have a great image to start with and you have captured that. This image is well composed with good perspective and combines two well known landmarks into one composition, perfect for this particular challenge.
One of my top three picks for this challenge; an obvious choice. Message edited by author 2004-12-16 08:18:11. |
