Portraits Day 20: Raven IIby socalsteveComment by Art Roflmao: Photographically - excellent! Still something about her smirk that doesn't sit well with me without any context.
edit: looking again - not really a smirk - more like a smugness or just disinterest. I dunno. Don't listen to me. :/ Message edited by author 2008-05-20 19:34:01. |

P&S Day 17b.jpgby socalsteveComment by Art Roflmao: Ok - Now, this I really like! All of it - especially the expression. Technicals are as near flawless as I can tell. You hit a home run with this one, IMO.
edit: ps, stick with Naomi. :D Message edited by author 2008-05-20 19:54:46. |

Portraits Day 19: Cadence IIby socalsteveComment by Art Roflmao: Well the lighting is good and mostly flattering. The pose to me - looks like she thinks the job is done and she is getting up off the floor when you snapped this - also mouth is like in mid-sentence. If her left leg were a little more straight / lower, it would hide the crease Neil mentioned and would look a little more relaxed. And is that a bullet-proof boustier?? ;-) Just looks kinda bulky.
Dang, I'm a critical bastard, aint I? Well even so, this seems to be getting back to the first model shots you posted as far as overall quality and attention to detail. Hope I was a little helpful. |

Portraits Day 17: Naomiby socalsteveComment by Jedusi: Very nice shot Steve.
The only v.small details that I would correct are the light patch under her left hand strap as it heads up to her shoulder (I think the strap is actually just twisted and showing the lighter material, but it would be easy to lose), and maybe smooth out the creases on her pants by her thigh.
Apart from those two very small items it looks really good - heck even with those two it still looks good :- ) |

Portraits Day 19: Cadence IIby socalsteveComment by Neil: I like this shot and overall the pose.
Critical Look: perhaps he way the modellooks, but it seems to me the perspective makes her head look pinched down/flat. If you were shooting on the wide side, perhaps you might do some perpective adjustment here? (Also, you might fix the crease inside her thigh. |

Portraits Day 17: Naomiby socalsteveComment by Kelli: Sometimes the models do make the shot ;) This is really good, can't add much to what's been said except you should always make sure to position a model that's showing her stomach to hide that very very slight tummy bulge. You'll notice you can only see it on one side (and you might want to use pp to get rid of it before she sees it). |
