Bird on a Branch = branchout + TreeLeafby JulietNNComment by JulietNN: I love the clutter too, I can see where they are coming from as it seems you have to scroll down to see the bird, but when seen as a whole picture, it is very pretty. It reminded me of an expensive wall paper.
But yes, the crop would have helped for DPC

My Cactusby JulietNNComment by JulietNN: Originally posted by bsluijk: One of my top images, but I kept wondering a while about the right hand background dots. |
Those are grown up needle pads. If you look on green bits, underneath them you can see the little furry brown patches, those are the babies. here is the plant as a whole.

My Cactusby JulietNNComment by roz: this is a bit extraordinary .. it looks like a creature . and a very interesting one at that .. the top vertical bit is the head .. and the bottom horizontal bit is its arms .. and its holding its 'hands' together .
i love all the textures and colours in this plant .. great shot btw .. :) |

My Cactusby JulietNNComment by willem: Very special cactus with nice colours. The second light source is hard to detect, probably only fills in the shadows? That is not a bad point, in many images the second light source makes it worse, here it does not. |

Blues Cluesby JulietNNComment by streetpigeon: What a breathtaking depth of field, turbulent clouds in the foreground and the line of a road far below, leading towards a distant panoply of mountains. Makes for a dynamic composition and sensibility; we're birds, sailing the updraft. As the road is a line, it barely converges, but rather vanishes under the weather. This seems entirely legit, unless you're a stickler for points. The tones of the land are delicately handled, difficult with such modest contrast. The clouds are well-sculpted and intense, of a sort with which Beethoven could contend. The overall blue cast brings all the elements into harmony. Powerful and richly satisfying.
