High Riseby k9logicComment by KarenNfld: Drawers with the knobs removed or a window shutter. It doesn't look like a macro but it probably is. |

Lucky in Loveby k9logicComment by Breeee123: This is a good idea, but could use better lighting. Maybe if it was in a bowl of milk it would look more visually pleasing. |

Lucky in Loveby k9logicComment by mindbottling: Focus is nice and crisp. I'd have liked to see a bit more Wow factor. The colors are so close that the heart doesn't really stand out on its own. |

Lucky in Loveby k9logicComment by liberty: Composition is good, but the lighting and white ballance is going to hurt the score. Focus is good. (no vote) |

Lucky in Loveby k9logicComment by aliqui: Shots like this are best done outside under natural light or well controled studio lighting. It looks like your white balance wasn't set properly for your indoor lighting.
The focus is good, but I can't say it's a terribly interesting subject. You probably would have been better off pulling back and getting something else in the shot too; bowl, spoon, etc.
Our instinct is to zoom in and focus on our subject rather than let the subject speak for itself. I'm a huge macro fan, so I'm struggling the same battle. If the scene is set up properly your subject will pop out on its own.
This is one of my favorite learning shots on the site. One day I'll get it right!
