Thank you for the comment. That is a Chinese spear (qiang). The movement is generated from the ground and through the hips, shoulders and hands to the spear itself. Hence the rotation around a fixed axle - my body. The gopro was fixed to the tip of the spear. |

I wanted to comment on this in voting, but then as now I struggle to articulate what about this is so effective for me. All I know is it registers as exotic, emotionally evocative, and just plain artistically compelling--something greater than the sum of its component images. |
