i tried this as have others and did not submit because the subject was in the process of doing something other than resting. The guy is reading. pity. Too much BG distracting.

A modern citiscape in B & W gives more emphasis to the main subject but when the challenge is over I would like to see the colour original to compare my thoughts.

Well I have to agree with the other comments on this one. I believe you have a lot of potential for capturing a better photo here. Though I wasn't there, to me repetitive action is probably the best stuff to shoot. Why? Because it gives the photographer a chance to play around with different settings, angles, composition, etc. Again I wasn't there, this could have been shot 286 out of 300. But I hope you understand what I mean. Just take as many photos as you can. And with sports or any other photography with a lot of movement I wouldn't bother with the little LCD screen either. Take it home and then look at them on your monitor. I apologize for turning this into a lecture but I think you had a lot of potential here. Good work and good luck in future challenges.

I really enjoy this composition. The lighting on the right side helps to make the right side of the flower a watercolor painting. The right side of the picture is very detailed and sharp. Very cool presentation.

I like the central character but the endroit is somewhat dull and makes for a fussy background. I appreciate that this may be meant as a contrast to his relaxation but I dont like it. Also find shadows too dark on main subject, though overal range of tones seems good.

I like it a lot with one little exception there is a stong glare coming off the car. I would give it a 10 if not for that glare but still worth an 8.
