At Day's End by LydiaComment by posthumous: I predict a ribbon for this, but I like it anyway. It is a sincere candid, expertly done but with all the appropriate feeling. |

"So THAT's how it's spelled..."by LydiaComment by Ceefore: I like the very subtle highlight to the passage in the dictionary about chemistry but that I think is where this image meeting the challenge ends. I'm not sure of the relevance of the gecko and the pencil - to me they aren't closely related to chemistry and I've been looking at this image for a while now and can't think how they add to your theme and idea.
Technically this is fairly strong, you've obviously got some patience to make the gecko sit still for so long, or a fast shutter :) in any case, its well executed with the exception of cutting off the gecko's tail (but hey they grow back right?!). But because I'm not convinced that your idea is that closely related to chemistry I had to score this down some and give it a 4. |

At Day's End by LydiaComment by catnapper: Very tasteful and fitting for the tribute.
I'm going to add that this is my favourite. There were a couple that did a good job of emulating Sean's work, but this one is original as well as, to me, the most poignant and touching.
Sorry I could only give you a 10, and hope you win. |

At Day's End by LydiaComment by senor_kasper: Talk about framing a shot!! beautifully composed and exposed image...and the colors you picked for the duotone and frame accent are just perfect.

At Day's End by LydiaComment by boyd2000: Great shot nicely composed. I love how the inside of the barn/stable makes such a nice frame. One little nit-pick is that I'd like to see less negative space frame to get more detail on the subject. Maybe a bit overexposed on the background. Underexposing in camera or PP wouldn't really hurt the silhouetted subject. |

At Day's End by LydiaComment by admart01: One of my ribbon picks - framing, silhouette, and background light makes a strong statement |

At Day's End by LydiaComment by kteach: Love the natural framing here from the barn walls and floor. The poses of the cowboy and horse seem to show a real connection between the two. Very nicely done! |
