Yellowby ErikVComment by Citadel: strange to have no comments. Then again it was in a free study so that might be the reason. Anyways,
I really enjoy this shot. True, we've seen a lot of bee macro shots before but I like the fact that the image is basically black and yellow. I also appreciate the fact that you chose a neutral border rather than using yellow in it. (I think that would be distracting)
Good sharpness and detail and great lighting. |

6 - Seagullsby ErikVComment by scottieham: I like this. Even though there is no one main point of focus in the image it has a very artistic feel to it for me. |

5 - Deerby ErikVComment by scottieham: Wow! Very sharp for 1/8 sec exposure. They are not always cooperative, but if you can capture them before they run, they offer some great opportunities because they look right at you :) |

6 - Seagullsby ErikVComment by SubGeniusKitty: The seaspray and the different angles of the birds give a great sense of movement and action. If those values were your intention, I wonder if they might be emphasized a little more by cropping about 10-15 percent off the top and left of the image. For example, crop it until it clips a little bit off the wingtips of the upper-right and lower-left gulls and crops out the upper-left gull entirely. It might give more of an impression that the action extends far past the frame and make the scene a little more intense.
Either way, I really like it! |
