Beautiful clarity and detail; finished in the top 100 so it didn't do all that badly! |

this is a situation where the heavy border really works well |

it is a beautiful shot, such an endangered little creature, good to see this pollinator is still working. I think the yellow and black is really nice together, works well, nice fuzzy colors.
well done |

He's very nice! quite hairy. I especially like the clarity in the wing...

I love the colors and its tack sharp which I am always a fan of. I think the flower in the background distracts me a bit from the bee which should be the main focus. I like it and I think its a great score for a free study. I expect to see this one in the Wildlife Images Side challenge, then I'm sure you'll get more comments ;-) |

strange to have no comments. Then again it was in a free study so that might be the reason. Anyways,
I really enjoy this shot. True, we've seen a lot of bee macro shots before but I like the fact that the image is basically black and yellow. I also appreciate the fact that you chose a neutral border rather than using yellow in it. (I think that would be distracting)
Good sharpness and detail and great lighting. |
