Rainbow sugar cookiesby karmatComment by roz: homeschooling rocks .. i never did it for my daughter but my nieces and nephews were home schooled by my sister-in-law cathy .. she's my brother's wife .. anyway .. they actually got heaps more done, did it all heaps quicker and have turned out the most wonderful young adults ever .. they went to high school, but were home schooled up to when they were about 12 years old .. the idea that they dont socialise with other kids is total rubbish if the family have friends and extended family .. good on you .. it can be difficult i know, but i reckon the results will speak for themselves as they grow up with minds of their own ..
trav is definitely a genius by the way .. !! :) |

Rainbow sugar cookiesby karmatComment by SandyP: That is such a cute story! Sounds to me like Travis does in fact qualify as a bona fide genius :)
I love it that you love the homeschooling as much as they do. That says alot about how succesful it will be in their lives!
I have a really great young friend I was kinda sorta mentoring for a while, and she got a full scholarship to a prestigious private university, and has now graduated with honors, and she was home schooled all her life. Never went a day to a public or private school.
Blessings on every minute of all of your quest :)
