Decemberby scooter88Comment by cloudsme: Walls leaning left, car leaning right. Interesting effect, but makes me a little dizzy. Nice clear shot. |

WOW! by scooter88Comment by rider808: how did you get that person to stand so still for such a long exposure? |

Coldby scooter88Comment by Lydia: This is beautiful, Scott! I can't imagine the score if you'd straightened the horizon! LOL!
Congrats on your HM! It's really a stunning image. |

Decemberby scooter88Comment by giantmike: Great way to take the scene from every day and transporting it to another time. To me, that's part of what this challenge is all about. |

Coldby scooter88Comment by Bear_Music: Very strange, haunting image. Not sure but what maybe the tilt is actually helping it, in the "haunting" sense :-) Congrats on HM! |

Coldby scooter88Comment by scooter88: Thanks for the many wonderful comments and votes in spite of my beginners mistake of forgetting to straighten the horizon. There are so many great photographers at DPC sometimes I think a good part of the challenge is being in the right place at the right time. This was one of those moments. We were camping at the beach at the end of the rainy season and about a hour before sunset a big storm rolled by. The darkness of the clouds combined with two ND filters allowed me to get the smooth look I was looking for. Several of you asked about a B&W version. I'll put it in the outakes with a straightened horizon :)
Congrats to the top 3 great winning photos.
