Thanks to those that commented. The location is a river running through Wexford town in Ireland. It does technically meet the challenge requirements, though I felt it was a 'squeeze' as it was not obviously relating to a city.

The shot looked better in my mind than what came out, I think another day where the sky was less cloudy (Hard here in winter!) would give a better result.

I waited until the evening light hit the reeds, but there was so much wind I couldn't get them sharp enough. It is a location I will return to, as I think the potential is there to get the shot I was really looking for.

I am very new to photography, and am learning loads from this site.

it doesn't look like conditions were ideal for photo-taking that day. a more saturated blue sky would have helped.

I'm just trying to be constructive, which is difficult because this misses the mark for me so completely. Hidden Swamp???? I don't see any tie-in to this challenge.....and I have to take your word for that as I don't even have a glimpse of what may be hidden. On my monitor, the PP in the sky looks pretty overdone, and the tonal ranges leave the image dull and flat. Please PM me if you'd like to discuss this comment

Looks like rain could fall any second. A faster shutter speed might have helped keep the reeds sharper despite the breeze. In the context of this challenge, I wonder if the hidden swamp is hidden in a city. Hope you let us know.

it's a great shot - but missing 'umph'. I don't know why this turned out bland. maybe colors aren't as fab as I'd like to see??? jsut can't put my finger on it.

I do like this shot but it lacks a point of interest. I also feel that it doesn't meet the challenge topic even though you did use the word hidden in its title.
