The key to its success in my view is that you got close to the action so that the viewer feels involved. You have captured brilliantly lots of detail and were round far enough to get the face in view. The composition is strong too. If there is any fault then it may be that the background does not hold much interest. Perhaps if the bird had a target in view or if the scenery was particularly beautiful it would have helped. The bird's stance is particularly interesting though, showing a nice fan of feathers and nice feet! All the best Jon

	The Bearded Lady by ellamay Comment by HBunch: I wish the whole butterfly was in focus. probably a difficult task to ask for, but with the upper wings out of focus, it almost makes it look like a bad editing job, where you blurred the background and oops, must have gotten the upper wing accidently. I know this is probably not the case, but my first impression when I see it. Focus on the rest of the bfly is nice. lighting is good, and background contains no distracting elements. Overall nice, but not extraordinary. ~Heather~
