Color Wheelby loz1Comment by loz1: Hey I will try anything. I mean you should have seen how dodgy the camera looked anyway. I had so much tape on it, and then i added some tissues to the top lol Its a bad camera, and the flash is the worst I have come across. I can not even take indoor shots of people with it, they always just come out as a white blob.
I will try your suggestion though. Thank you :)
I do want to buy a new camera, but right now I can't afford it. I can not wait to the day I have the money in hand, and am at the store ready to buy something. I only bought this one because it was cheap, and it was never meant to be my primary camera, but now I do prefer digital, so its turned into that. |

Color Wheelby loz1Comment by joebar: Have you tried deflecting / bouncing the flash at all? Tape a little piece of white cardboard below the flash and angle it 45 degrees upward, then tape/hold a larger piece above the flash and try to angle it so it hits the subject.
Yeah, it's ghetto, but you'd be surprised. I did this with my first digicam with some success.
Think I might have tried that photo on a white background to give some contrast against the black pencil barrels.

Color Wheelby loz1Comment by loz1: Thanks everyone. I have a really horride camera, so the lighting is always a problem with it. I did use a flash, however even though it has come up extremely bright in this image, I diffused it a lot. I had placed about 10 pieces of a paper tape over it, and it still came up this bright. I remember ringing Kodak once, and they said that this camera has an unsually strong flash.
As suggested, and pretty much common sense too, next time I will try it will my own light source. Generally with my camera I do that anyway.
Its also difficult to get clear shots with it, as I don't have a macro, otherwise I would have loved to have taken a closer and better shot.
But its my first challenge, and I had a go and I think my votes are pretty good, more than I had expected so I am pretty happy over all :) |
