Boys In Alleyby bvyComment by glad2badad: Where's Mom or Dad? That's the first thing I wonder when looking at this. Then I get a sense of attitude, shyness, and sibling pecking order. Interesting and thought provoking. Not sure I'm a big fan of the substantial blur, but it does add an unexpected dimension. |

217by bvyComment by J-Me: Nice editing. Is it me, or is the focus mainly on the cement features? |

Boys In Alleyby bvyComment by colorcarnival: I wonder what kind of fast food item he has in his hand hahaha. I like how the foreground boy's face looks kind of smudgy - reminds me of kids who make faces by smooshing their faces against glass. |

217by bvyComment by Paul: OK, I'm going through the Free Study submissions, purposefully finding those images I think are shot with a less conventional eye - this is one of those images! Thanks for offering something that isn't just DPC friendly eye-candy (though of course there's nothing wrong with eye-candy):
Positives: I really like all sorts of things about this image; the composition, the muted palette and most of all the POV.
Critical stuff: Not too much - you clearly had a vision for this image and you have pulled it off very well indeed.
Overall: A very competent image which communicates a particular intrinsic intent. |

Dancerby bvyComment by nixter: this reminds me of when I was a kid. I grew up in a country town in the 60's/70's and there would often be huge picnics in the park. Half the town would turn up and drink and eat and dance on the grass. Simple pleasures... : ) |
