| I don't think this is the type of photo that does well here, but it is something interesting to me. Not sure why, but I think it is the colortone. A lot of photos tend to have lots of lighting drama but this seems muted, simple, and real. |

OK, I'm going through the Free Study submissions, purposefully finding those images I think are shot with a less conventional eye - this is one of those images! Thanks for offering something that isn't just DPC friendly eye-candy (though of course there's nothing wrong with eye-candy):
Positives: I really like all sorts of things about this image; the composition, the muted palette and most of all the POV.
Critical stuff: Not too much - you clearly had a vision for this image and you have pulled it off very well indeed.
Overall: A very competent image which communicates a particular intrinsic intent. |
