Midnight Departure for New Hopeby LaMasComment by hhuddle: This is one of those photos that caused me to stop and think. I mean that in a good way. You did a good job of conveying an emotion. Good lighting and framing. It makes me wonder what she is running from... where she is running to. The color tone works great for this pic too. The cases in the lower right do start to wash out a bit, but it does not take away from the overall photo in my opinion. Really nice job. So is she taking "the midnight train goin anywhere..."? Nice work on this one. |

Stillness Withinby LaMasComment by LaMas: I did like this shot- but when I got it onto the computer I realized how out-of-focus she really was. The problem I had with this is that it was a timed exposure to really pop out the back wall and her with as little light as possible. BUT, no person can truely stand absolutely still for 10sec unless your a trained manican(however you spell it).
But I like the feel and I going try to magnify that throughout my entries.
Your comments truely are helpful. You are helping me to redifine my skills and to help me catch this that aren't so obvious.
Again thank you and good-luck to everyone else. |

Tribute to Old Country-Style Fitnessby LaMasComment by LaMas: I know I know- this rrally isn't a fitness shot. That's okay, I really wanted to try and break the norm of your usual fitness idea. To show that there are people out there who feel that this REALLY is their form of fitness. No joke!
Regardless, I do know it was the wrong photo to submit now and boy did I get punished for it.
Thank you though for all your comments, some good some bad- all lessons! |

Oops...by LaMasComment by LaMas: Yeah, Definitely should have taken my time to check the details on this one. It's only the start of my mishaps here at DPC.
Thank you for all your comments though. I am taking them to heart! |

Midnight Departure for New Hopeby LaMasComment by UNTITLED: Can I give extra points for breaking the norm on this challenge? Probably not as I'm already voting this high. Like how this has a story. Good composition as well. A bit too reddish though for that true vintage feel. |
