This was my favorite in the challenge. My only 8. You did right with the trees. Bringing them out more would have ruined the shot and also would have made it less about the sky. Streetpigeons poetry says it well. Wonderful piece of art!

Maybe it's hard to see the sky for the snow, but we're looking up and it's mesmerizing. The trees in the foreground are hardly more than a suggested smudge, but all the more powerful and moving for that. And the middleground a merest vapor up halfway into the scene. This tender minimalism is, to me, beautiful.
Personal favorite of the challenge.
