Interesting angle! Good photo. (not specific to you, but how do you show "enjoyment" of alcohol {product you are selling} in this ad?)

Impressive focal point. You've focused on exactly what the subject is. I think rotating it 90cw would make it even better.

This would work better as a ad if it were not blur. I love the background and even the angle. Just needs to be more in focus.

Nice photo, but maybe a little too much glare.

Oh yeah, one more thing - the main reason I left the handlebars in shot was so that you could work out what the photo was of! :o)

This was my most successful entry so far, and I was much more pleased with it than my previous shots. The three main issues that everyone seems to be mentioning are:

1 - Focus - Unfortunately, the angle I was taking from meant that I couldn't see the LCD, so I was shooting blind. The shot I chose had the best focus and DOF, but it was a tiny bit too close, hence the bottom foreground blur. I'm now taking many more photos, so that I don't have to use ones with flaws.

2 - Angle - Yes, the tyre was leaning very slightly sideways, as I was trying to keep the bike upright at the same time as shooting, which isn't as easy as it sounds! Rotating then cropping the image didn't really work either, which was annoying. Ah well :o)

3 - Aspect - The original shot was much larger than this, and I cropped it down to the one I submitted. However, I had a huge debate with myself over which aspect to use, and since the portrait shot only gave a more out-of-focus bit of tyre at the top, I decided to go with the landscape, which seemed to have a better impact.

Thanks for your comments everyone - I've been hugely motivated by this one! ;o)

The lack of focus on the two pegs closest to the viewer seems distracting to me. The image also seems off-balance.

Great shot, kinda takes you a second to get it. I usually don't like centered images, but it just works so well. Love it!

Comment by langdon:
The DOF is decent... the out of focus handle bars work well, but the bottom of the tire needs to be focused also.
