macro_8468.jpgby HeiSchComment by Mr_Pants: I like the idea here. The cut off end of the larger shell on the right helps to strengthen the feeling that it continues on beyond the frame, although the top of the shell, being cut off, spoils the line that I keep on wanting to see there. I can't help feeling that I'd like to see a strong line leading off into the distance. |

macro_8471.jpgby HeiSchComment by Mr_Pants: The focus is exactly where it should be, I believe. The pattern, going OOF in the background, gives me the impression of the whole thing going on into infinity. The edges of the drop stand out really well, which is a pretty difficult thing to achieve, given the darkish nature of the feather. |

macro_8466.jpgby HeiSchComment by Mr_Pants: I agree with others, in that I find the hot spot on the rearmost marble to be an attraction for my eye. Perhaps this could be cropped off. The whole shape of the marble would not be visible, but there would be enough curvature left for the viewer to complete it in their mind's eye. The blotches of colour in the front marble are most intriguing. |

macro_8462.jpgby HeiSchComment by Mr_Pants: I rather like the positioning of the in-focus portion, as it seems to make my eye wander around the circle and keep coming back to it. I like the way that you've cropped off the sides of the ring and left the viewer to complete it. |
