Winter Dayby jjusaComment by heavyj: IMO the whites in the eyes look a bit harsh and unnatural. If those are real whites, then damn...6 |

The Agedby jjusaComment by posthumous: there are some good things about this photo, the exposure and focus are very good, the background has some interesting lines without distracting from the subject, but still it doesn't transcend "centrally placed candid". In other words, I'm not sure why I'm looking at this man other than that it fulfills a challenge. |

The Agedby jjusaComment by travis_cooper: I like the b&w to set the mood. This would be much better with a really old guy, some wrinkles showing, but I still think you have done well with this shot. |

Alone in the Cityby jjusaComment by posthumous: first off, I hate selective desaturation, usually... BUT, I must say that I enjoy the way you create a triangle of primary colors here. It gives her a certain esprit, that goes with the strength of her expression and her stance. I find myself wanting to know where she's going and what she intends to do there. I feel like I've been put into the middle of a story and I want to know more about it. That's how most good stories start: in the middle. |

CRW_2082.jpgby jjusaComment by Moatz: Wow, this is really beautiful! I love the colors and the crispness of the fireworks. I also love the color of the water, and how it fades as it gets closer to the frame, it really brings attention to the boat. I like this a lot! =) |

Lakeby jjusaComment by NikonJeb: I'm the exact opposite of Richard.....I find this image breathtaking and memorable. But I really like the whole "Nature's Canvas" thing and it's really a quite remarkable shot IMNSHO. The way that you captured the colors of the shoreline at the same time that the light is waning is just spectacular. A truly lovely shot! Just a curiosity thing.....where *IS* this?????? |
