Well after browsing your portfolio I wanted to leave you some comments. This is a great photo. The DOF on this photo is great and I think you done a great job of composing it.

Greetings from the critique club :)

Well first off, congrats on the top 10 placement. I don´t have terribly much to critique about this photo, I like it pretty much the way it is, it definately meets the challenge and I am not surprised it did well in the challenge. Instead I might just say what I personally would have done diffrently had I taken and processed it.

As far as taking it, it´s top notch, I like the composition, DOF and lighting, good choice to only use ambient lighting.

However, had I processed the shot, I would probably have goen with slightly warmer WB, I would have burned in her shoulder to match the lightness tones of her cheek, because the shoulder is so bright it kindof steals attention from her face and flowers.

That´s pretty much it :) Kind regards from Iceland, Lárus.

Lovely colors, nice shot of model, and adequately blurred background, but some blurred roses. Perhaps a longer lens with with f-stop for adequate depth of field for all in foreground would help.

Nice colours and the DOF field works well with the background but doesn't quite work with the roses. A different angle and slightly deeper DOF to emphasize the roses a little mor than the model would have been stronger for me..... I'm terrible with flowers shots though.

Great composition...the focus is on completely on the roses, yet you've added another element that gives this a greater dimension. Well done!

Nice setup. Someone might comment about the hair across her face, but I think it works ok in this casual setup. Is the white balance a little off? Also, the focus point seems to be her shoulder, where it would be better on her eye and the roses. Overall, a nice shot.

I like the idea of this. I think since the "subject" is supposed to be the flowers, it might've been better if they were in focus and she were slightly blurred. The colours and composition are well done.
