rodo (b&w 2008 #11)by nikolaosComment by ErikV: I like the sudden transition between the sharpness of the rose and the way OOF of the background. Almost makes it seem like the rose is floating in mid-air. |

concert crowd (b&w 2008 #12)by nikolaosComment by Iraklis: I like the way their heads come out to us and the stance and isolation of the woman. I like the stances of your other subjects as well, hand on head, taking a drag etc. The faces have come out perhaps a tad bit overexposed? None the matter, have enjoyed this image. Regarding the overly blown spot at the top - clone in some background from elsewhere in the shot if you'd like to tone that down a bit. |

As mentioned, the unincorporated exposed white at the top is very evident in otherwise good tone. |

And the full bloom over the dead one is a neat contrast. I like the way the background goes from light to dark - only thing I'd change is to crop out the really bright spot at the top of this shot - I find it distracting. |

One thing you can try if you're trying to go unnoticed and want to shoot low - set the camera on the ground and shoot. You'll get too much foreground in some cases but you can also get some interesting shots that way. Or sit down, shoot from your lap. |
