The Country Schoolhouse: Chapter One by njsabsComment by littlemav: The ONLY thing that kinda bothers me in this photo is the two dark wrinkles above her eyebrows, to me it looks like a double eyebrow.. That being said I just came back and upped this from a 7 to an 8 because it is a GREAT photo! |

Re-Birth by njsabsComment by mikasi: I understand what you meant about the textured one. The details in the girl's neck are better and a lot better in her hair. But I think it loses something from your entry though.

The Growing Yearsby njsabsComment by ambaker: I'm not a big fan of texture. Too often it seems to be done for the sake of just having texture, or to distract from a flaw in the image.
I really like this one. It gives an ethereal quality to the imatge that would be missing if it were not there. In this case, 1+1=10. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts. |

The American Dream.....A Distant Memoryby njsabsComment by MrChevy: Sometimes the distance isn't very far between having a home and being one of the homeless.
The distance between one and the other for LOTS of people is as close as ONE paycheck.
Distance "fits" much better than the description of distant.
The idea comes through very clearly.

Nah....I wasn't going for a sharper picture overall...I realize it is not everybody's cup of tea though. |
