My parents have an old framed print of it (etching or something) so I'm quite familiar with it. I didn't know it sold Antique and Modern Shoes, though (that must be a recent thing).

I'm also reminded of a cartoon that shows the shop with hundreds of cats approaching it (because cats are curious...)

great shot jon ... i love these shots with something very old juxtaposed with something new .. its interesting how the roof of the old building almost looks like the bricks behind it ...excellent contrasts, and i love the writing on the building.:)

What a great find! The ever-so-slight grain is a must in this picture. It looks awesome! It's almost an anachronism with its old world look right in the middle of that urban setting.

I love these; I have some yellow and red ones in my front garden and was going to shoot a red yesterday. There's something about a flower that simply can't be cut and put in a bundle that is perfect (for those who don't know, they won't make it five minutes, or so I'm told); it won't be captured in real life, so this is the best we can do! This is a nice capture. The one I've done as a yellow (with a butterfly in it) looked flat and awful. You've done a really good job with the textures in the petals and the details in the center.
