Day 3 - Life on Edge!by jonfrommkComment by Alicia: Still very good detail, Jon! And it's not a gross bug, either. I hate it when I open up an image and there's this insect monster staring at me. This is a cute bug. Clearly, you were thinking on your feet when you grabbed the camera and took this photo. That must come from your fast-paced life you mentioned. :o) |

The other side of teaching kids to cycleby jonfrommkComment by ShannonLee: oh man! this is a really really cool shot
the leading lines are absolutely fantastic
the high contrast is really effective here
and i love how there is still sufficient light on her face
having said all that about the technical crap...
just the overall idea of the picture is SUPER COOL!
great idea and wonderful execution~ |

Day 2 T(ree)-Rexby jonfrommkComment by colorcarnival: I love pics of older trees. The funny thing is that I did not see the dinosaur first. I actually see a face or a skull. If you look to the top that angles right to the highest point - where the grass or mossy part is. That is the top of the skull. Just below it I see eyes, nose, and mouth. Call me crazy, but that's what I see.
I suppose it is probably better to tell Daisy that this is a fossil rather than a skull. You can now probably only imagine the kind of things that I am telling my own children heh heh heh.
And what might scuppered be? |

Day 2 T(ree)-Rexby jonfrommkComment by roz: omg jon .. i put a tree with the bark sort'v peeling off in my portfolio the other day .. i called it 'bark' .. its a very different scene to yours and a different type of tree .. and i dont think the bark on your tree is actually coming off in quite the same way as my one .. its more like a big chunk ... your tree looks dead as well .. i think mine is still alive, altho i'm not sure .. when i come to think about it the only similarity is that we both took photographs of a tree ... i can see a very scarey face in yours .. thats another difference ... :):) .. sorry i sound like i'm raving ... think i need to sleep .. :) |
