Day-26.jpgby EBJonesComment by MelonMusketeer: This looks like a very nice green space to have a picnic or a break from work. I like that you left the tips of the palmettos in the corner. |

Day-21.jpgby EBJonesComment by MelonMusketeer: This looks like a snowy egret. They have black beaks and legs with yellow feet. They were hunted almost completely out of existance in the 1920's when their mating plumage was popular for ladies hats. I think they are the best looking of the egrets, although not the largest.
Excellent capture and pp. The slight wave in the water is great for this. |

Self Loathingby EBJonesComment by shutterpuppy: definitely the best execution of the "self loathing" interpretation of the challenge. the tones as well as the content do a very good job of getting the message across. minor nit it that I think i can see one or two persons in reflection on the bottle, which takes away from the sense of isolation that is here otherwise. - 9 |

Working the Streetby EBJonesComment by ericwoo: I took a people photography class some years ago, and the first lesson was geared toward awkward places to chop the human body. Cutting the body off at major joints almost always looks accidental rather than one's compositional intent. Chopping your subject off at the ankles makes this look more like a quick, shoot-from-the-hip snapshot than a composed image. Always be aware of everything in your viewfinder, as well as its placement. |

Working the Streetby EBJonesComment by Melethia: Neat things about this - they guy with the dog, the State Street sign (every US town seems to have a State Street), and the watermelon sign. |
