1 - Not HDR in my opinion
3 - HDR is way over-done, in my opinion
5 - A reasonable use of HDR, but not a very engaging photo, in my opinion
7 - A reasonable use of HDR, and an engaging photo, in my opinion
10 - A fantastic use of HDR, and an out of this world photo, in my opinion

Owl-Reduxby bassboneComment by MaryO: Love how the branches frame him. I have yet to capture an owl in the wild; one flew right overhead once but disappeared into the trees before I could react. I'm jealous! |

Owl-Reduxby bassboneComment by MelonMusketeer: Owls are usually hard to spot in the daytime when they are sleeping in the trees. This was a good find. I have only had two opportunities like this over about 25 years of shooting pix. Excellent detail, and the environment looks very natural for this. I also like the way the three limbs frame the owl. |
