Show me an on camera flash shot and square crop or people always makes me think of Diane Arbus. The main difference here is that the subjects are not addressing the camera, which would of course then not be a candid, which sparks a debate at least in my head. Which is "better": a shot that engages the photographer with the subject or one that does not disturb the subject and captures a natural, unaffected state? I've always felt somewhat deficient in engaging the subject which is perhaps why it is a debate at all perhaps only in my head. It would be a silly debate since the approaches are so different and both merit worthy.

Great catch Roz. The reach of the child triggers my reflex to warn her, even on second look realizing the cat is stuffed and behind glass. I'm a fan of fisheyes effectively used like this.

This reminds me of the exhibit at the Smithsonian in Washington, DC. I think dinosaurs are just the MOST interesting!!!

Another exceptional shot. This has a time travel feel. The guy parks his car and is just drawn into the misty moment. He may never be seen again because he is now in another dimension. I'm really enjoying your uploads today my dear. They transcend time and space.
