You've taken the challenge 'into or out of the frame' and redefined it into a triptych. I think you should experiment more with this.. so many possibilities!

How would it look without them?

I tried the pics against a white background .. it lacked impact to me ..
so them I tried a black background.. without the thin white borders it looked unbalanced .. I did try greying out the borders a bit .. but the image seemed to look better with them as white .. they may have been better a tad thinner tho ..
hellooooo .. when will you learn .. this type of shooting wont hurt you

This is such an intriguing image. It looks like a single three section window, but it captures an instantaneous procession of time. All at once you're seeing a moment in a chronological spread. It's a mysterious and joyful feeling. And I like the scenes as well, pretty and prosaic, just another mind-bending morning. Bravo!

I like the painterly look, the motion, and the light on the grass, contrasting with the kangaroos.

Watching time go by. I enjoy this kind of thing and use sequences in essays sometimes.

Very nice sequence.

You can try to "punch up" colors under the Minimal rule set using the Unsharp Mask filter with a high-radius setting; in Photoshop you can start with (for a DPC entry sized image):
Amount=15%
Radius=50 pixels
Threshold=0
