are you done yet?!by rozComment by primabarbara: You have a very good companion there!
It is very obvious that he is just waiting for your command. A wonderful photo! I have to admit, I'm thinking like Anita: too much emphasis on Toddy, too little on the path. But there is still no reason to give a rating worse than 5 and certainly not a 1!
PS
Thanks for your comment on the King's Road
I was really surprised when I woke up this morning and found it on the front page.
It helps that with the time shift I'm usually sleeping at rollover so I don't have to be upset with low voting at the end |

are you done yet?!by rozComment by MargaretNet: Very nice, Roz. I liked it and I could see the road :) I gave you 8.
Last minute vote of 1 - nothing new, I am afraid, the nasties are still with us ;) |

are you done yet?!by rozComment by Neat: That right ear, how adorable! You’re probably getting dinged because it seems like the dog is the star of the show. And well it is. But this is totally cute! |

web weaverby rozComment by roz: Originally posted by streetpigeon: Here's an image that knocked me backwards, so sleek and evocative and powerful. All the human connotations of spiders and their webs inform this presentation, or tale. The depth of field is wonderful. There's a sense of being at the center of the universe, enhanced by the galactic bokeh. The bokeh on the web, striped kind of like fingerprints, is especially becoming. The variety of shapes is subtle and entrancing. The overall feel is of a mandala.
Personal favorite of the challenge, the ten. Going into my favorites. If I were to set up a wing of the favorites of the favorites, this would happily reside therein. |
hey rich ...
thankyou so much for your fantastic comment ...
i think most people just love the bright and shiny in these sort of challenges .. and dont get me wrong .. they are eye candy for sure ...
for me personally .. i do like things that dont hit you in the face .. that you have to go a bit deeper to see what's going on .. that may take a while to reveal themselves ..
i'm extremely pleased to hear that this was your favourite in the challenge .. and even in the wing of your favourites of favourites .. which i'm assuming is up there .. !! ..
i have tried to find similar spider's webs like this but have failed .. the distance from the ground underneath has to be just so .. and getting the focus on something so tiny is a real challenge ..
i'm going to keep looking tho .. as i want to capture another one similar to this only absolutely perfect .. :)
