thanks for the feedback Margaret .. a lot of other photos got 1's, 2's and 3's .. but if it was because they didnt think it was a real book .. then the ppl who vote like that should do their research before punishing other photographers because of an erroneous assumption ..

i'm ok with how things turn out here btw ... its not only a learning experience in regards to photography in dpc .. but also for life ..
getting overly attached to the outcome here when in the bigger scheme of things its really rather trivial .. cant do much for your overall happiness in life ..
dont get me wrong .. its WONDERFUL when something i've entered goes well .. ;)

I love this. It should have finished higher. You might be right about people not recognising it as real - that was my first thought but I made sure about it before I voted.

Absolutely not. My editing steps are on a need-to-know basis. The only time I ever revealed my steps was when they waterboarded me and the water tickled my nose and I couldn't stand it any more. Tell them that magic elves guided your mouse as you edited this masterpiece.

I like your photo and I'm glad to see it did well (I didn't find time to vote this time around). I'm worried about yours holding up on the validation though. Georges ran into a problem adding rain to one of his entries, but that was in Standard editing rules. I am curious as I noticed I had some software I've never played with and it has all kinds of 'textures' that basically do what you've done here - added something new on top. I was going to ask if this was legit in another thread for Standard editing and / or Extended. Good luck!
