DAY 11.5. B&W. emily hogs the bubbles ...by rozComment by jonfrommk: I love this slice of life. The last image of emily had her looking straight at the lens and worked, this one has her completely oblivious to you and works as well. Great expressions on all the kid's faces, especially the boy who is looking at the bubble and who therefore leads you to it (when I first saw the picture it did take a second for me to realise what he was looking at). Only question I would have would be whether the vignette works. You say this was a rushed shot but I have to say it is lovely |

DAY 11. B&W. emily .by rozComment by jonfrommk: Oh what a beautiful image, sometimes having a model look straight at the camera really doesnt work, but here it is fantastic. Love the softer tones and bokeh
I bet Renee loves this |

DAY 12. B&W. rural ..by rozComment by nixter: Love it, Roz! especially the tree in the fog with the branches reaching skywards like two arms. It has an almost mystical feminine form. Fantastic!!! |

DAY 12. B&W. rural ..by rozComment by dsterner: you said: this image is missing something ..
like its a beautiful scene .. the composition is ok ... black & white seems to work .. but it just doesnt do it for me ... one of the things i do like that other ppl probably wont is the 'burnt out' sky ...
suggestions welcome!!!!!!!!
I think the burnt sky is the result of the mist...or is the mist. Anyone who has seen morning mist should appreciate that. I like the grey scale from bottom to top on both sides of the photo.
I am familiar with scenes like this from the mountains of Pennsylvania - on the old lumber trails in the hills behind my parents house. The mist (fog as we call it) "burns off" by late morning and it's always fun to watch - especially when fishing. I love this photo
