2nd homes with a boatby whiterookComment by tjbel05: Wow, this is very noisy. I would try reducing the ISO on your camera. It also looks like you have a light flare. Did you shoot this with the lens hood on? If not try that. |

2nd homes with a boatby whiterookComment by bergiekat: Mmmm, I'm not really a fan of pink boats. (Levels and/or curves.) I think a different perspective on this shot would add a little more interest. |

White Rooksby whiterookComment by Nald: Okay, great idea but a few things to help this shot out. Bump up your aperture a stop or two to get everything in focus. OR stop it down and focus on the tip of the queen to get the other rooks just out of focus to draw your eye right to your main subject.
Now overall this shot has a really yellow and unattractive tone or "cast" to it. You can easily correct this with curves or the equivalent white balance adjustment with what ever software you are using. Also you can adjust this with most cameras by changing your white balance setting or your auto settings to tungsten or fluorescent. This will help eliminate this yellow cast.
Good eye and this shot meets the challenge well. |

2nd homes with a boatby whiterookComment by geoffb: Tough to rate this one very high. It's quite grainy and blurry, with some sort of artifacts or fringing near the top. Perhaps a different perspective would have improved this shot. |

White Rooksby whiterookComment by Eyesup: I'm thinking the white balance could have been adjusted here, unless you were going for yellow. |
