dont apologise for your amazing animal photographs ... keep 'em coming ... love this one ... i really like the contrast between the bird and the white background, which of course is just a personal thing .. i reckon it'd go great put in a sky background as well ... it would just be a different approach .. both could work equally well .. an excellent capture and love the 'posture' of the bird just coming in for a landing ... an amazing photograph .. WOW

Composition is indeed very good - I like how the irridescent tail feathers provide a lovely compliment to the red and bronze of his head and neck. Great detail as well - fine shot, fine finish!

love the composition and colours but I feel like the challege was to show grain, and this photo's grain, imo, isn't noticeable enough.

Where's them three French hens? Damn beautiful. I think the bokeh pulls this away from safe and into interesting, especially in the thumbnail. Congrats on the high score!

As sharp as this is, it looks primed for putting it in a new sky from another shot.
The pelican looks like it's wondering where the treat is for giving you the nice pose.

What a great shot! So slimy. Nice job on the exposure and focus. The only suggestion I have is to crop out some of the green at the top. It seems to go on forever.
