Ahh, I'm a little slow, but I see a theme emerging. You've got lots of good material (no pun intended). I'm scouring my whole house for subject matter and it looks like you've got a sewing box full. I like the diagonal composition on this one.

You know, one thing that makes these side challenges so awesome is the learning environment. Shooting something every day, working to get things the way you want, without the pressure of votes, and with an abnormally high level of commenting, especially in the early days -- it's amazing how much you learn in 30 days.

I like your idea here, and this is an interesting and attractive image (LOVE the colors). You'll figure out how to get it exactly the way you want as you keep trying. One really nice thing about digital photography -- pixels are free, and hence so is the education you get from shooting and reshooting and trying this and that.

I am glad that you were up and moving around enough to get this shot. It looks the way Christmas should look. We don't get the white stuff here in Fl, but I remember it well from my travels. I like that this is a wide view, with lots of little interesting details to see and think about.

OH this is a nice macro shot .. The needle placed diagonally w the contrasting bright orange thread does lead one out of the picture..
