This is superb! I've owned some chickens for eggs they produce(sounds so efficacious), and I will admit they do have some remarkable personalities. I named every one. 12 of them at the time, and my favorite was Mrs Chicken. She ruled the nest with the care and love I've not seen in the animal kingdom. She never fought and somehow she was always listened to. The weaker would run to her for safety and she would always protect.
This is a beautiful portrait.

What an incredibly gorgeous picture! I love how the feathers blend in with the texture of the background. The detail on the head is excellent. It's funny, I've never heard of a chicken being dropped off at an animal shelter!
