I know how impossibly annoying swallows can be to photograph. The barn swallows here have evaded my every attempt at any sort of decent photo, let alone such a chance capture as this! Great job being at the right place/right time and capturing it beautifully!

The equipment limitation with the long lens made this work out to be a good shot anyway. I like the compression of the perspective at 100 mm. The line of the border helps to move my attention to the bird as well. Nice colors too. There are people around this area that keep these things for pets. They have a very distinctive call sound, and can be heard from where I live once in a while.
