Softly does it!by wingyisleedsComment by talj: Nice use of soft focus, was this done in camera or in Photoshop? I'm interested in what technique you used if it was done in PS? :o) |

Just Bricks!!by wingyisleedsComment by talj: I like the light on the bricks and the choice of composition :o) The brick just on the right that is out of focus is a little distracting but again just by upping your aperture you could get this in focus (just my preference!) :o) |

North Yorkshire Steam Railway Stationby wingyisleedsComment by talj: Lovely composition, the horizon could do with a very slight straighten but other than that I like your editing and the people add that extra something to this image. It could be my eyes playing tricks on me (its late) but I think going up behind the station the trees get a little out of focus. By increasing your Aperture, I normally use F16 for my landscape stuff, you would get a lot more in focus :o) |

Hill-top in the Lakesby wingyisleedsComment by talj: Purchase...A POLARISER! The best thing (apart from my tripod) that I have bought since getting my DSLR. It would really make the greens stand out and give a little more of a blue 'tint' to the sky in this shot :o) |

I'm going to straight to the top!by wingyisleedsComment by talj: I like the choice of black and white for this shot and composition is good. I have mentioned before about the noise and can see a little in this shot but now you've got the new camera hopefully that will resolve the noise issue for you :o) |

High Pointby wingyisleedsComment by talj: I like the way you have the road leading into the frame from the lower left and the colour and detail in the bracken (?) is good. I would suggest maybe cropping the bottom to just above where the puddle in the road is as this is a little distracting IMHO :o) |

Sunset over beachby wingyisleedsComment by talj: I see this was taken with your old camera and I don't know how much control you had over the settings but for future...I would have placed the sun less central in the frame and it looks like the camera has exposed for the sun as a lot of the sky is blown out. With the 300D you will have so much more control over where you expose for in shots like this. Looking forward to your sunrise/sunset shots with the new cam! |

Walkersby wingyisleedsComment by talj: This would look good in a travel brochure, the path leads you nicely into the picture and the people give the viewer and idea of one of the things they could do if they were there :o) I also like the stone walls leading up the side of the left part of the photo. Well done :o) |
