Grilled Chipmunkby JPRComment by JPR: Thanks everyone. I'm glad other people found this funny too. I had some actual recipe photos but I just couldn't stop myself from submitting this one! I found the voting breakdown really interesting. Message edited by author 2003-10-24 01:05:20. |

Grilled Chipmunkby JPRComment by mbardeen: Good show Jason!
I use the showman's way of starting the BBQ. Turn on the gas, step back, light a match and throw it in. Wooof! I did this one day and about 5 seconds later a mouse jumps up on the side of the BBQ, down on to the ground, and off into the bushes. I'm still not sure who was the most surprised out of the two of us. |

Standing Guardby JPRComment by goinskiing: I like the overall balance of the picture, very appealing to the eye (at least mine anyways). I'd be interested in seeing the (color) original. |

Grilled Chipmunkby JPRComment by dr rick: Chipmunk should be marinated before grilling. But he's so cute I'd hate to eat him. You caught a great pose. Good composition. You probably didn't have much control over the lighting, but the way the top of the grill is lit works well. A little sharpening might enhance the texture of the critter's fur. |

Grilled Chipmunkby JPRComment by Imagineer: Refreshing bit of humour and a great capture. Little fella could be sharper but I'm sure the luxury of time evaded you. [7] |

Standing Guardby JPRComment by bruski: Good black and white image. The tonal rage is very good. I like that the main subject is up high in the frame instead of down low as is in most of the images in the challenge. |

Grilled Chipmunkby JPRComment by Samara: I guess my sense of humor is as sick as yours (haha) because I absolutely love this picture and the title. What a wonderful photo capture of a skittish creature. My favorite! |
